Data and Software Centre (DASC) allows you to download spatial datasets relating to geology, mining and petroleum titles, geochemistry, and other geoscience information. You can also download spatial applications and training material.

The Data and Software Centre (DASC) lets you download different types of mapping and spatial data, including:

  • Mining tenements
  • Petroleum titles
  • Georeferenced images (map images with location data)
  • Other geoscientific data

When you download a dataset, it comes as a zip file. Inside, you’ll find:

  • A metadata statement
  • The dataset (in geographical coordinates using GDA2020)
  • A licence statement (rules for using the data)

DASC also offers software like GeoMap.WA and Mineral Exploration Reporting Templates (MRT). Manuals and training videos are available to help you if you get stuck.
