Subcontracting on government projects

Your rights when working on projects being managed by the Department of Housing and Works.
Last updated:

If you are a subcontractor on a government construction project, you may not be paid if the head contractor becomes insolvent or is in financial trouble. We cannot legally intervene because we are not part of the contract between you and the head contractor.

However, we can help you understand your rights and make you aware of your options.
