The Student Satisfaction Survey assesses the quality of service provided to students by the Western Australian TAFE colleges and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). It also provides insights into customer needs and expectations. In 2024, the Department commissioned Wallis Social Research to conduct the survey.
The latest (2024) survey shows 84.7% of students were satisfied with their training. Students experienced the highest levels of satisfaction with:
- the quality of trainers / instructors (85.3%)
- how likely it is that the course will lead to a job/career (85.2%); and
- physical safety and security measures (83.9%).
